Warranty Policy

Last Updated: March 26, 2026

At EPS Controls LLC, we take pride in the quality and durability of the industrial HVAC components we supply. This Warranty Policy outlines the coverage, limitations, and procedures for products purchased on shop.epscontrols.com.

1. Manufacturer’s Warranty

As a specialized distributor of HVAC controls and motors, EPS Controls LLC facilitates warranties provided by the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

  • Coverage: Most products (including condenser fan motors, VFDs, and actuators) carry a standard 1-year limited manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
  • Specific Terms: Certain components or brands may have different warranty periods. Please refer to the specific product documentation or manufacturer's website for brand-specific details.

2. Warranty Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for warranty service, the following conditions must be met:

  • Proof of Purchase: You must provide the original order number or invoice from EPS Controls LLC.
  • Professional Installation: Due to the technical nature of HVAC equipment, the warranty is only valid if the product was installed by a licensed HVAC technician or professional engineer. Failure to provide proof of professional installation may void the warranty.
  • Original Condition: The product must not have been modified, altered, or repaired by unauthorized personnel.

3. What is Covered?

  • Manufacturing defects that prevent the component from functioning according to its technical specifications.
  • Premature failure of internal parts under rated voltage and load conditions (e.g., motor winding failure within the warranty period).

4. What is Not Covered? (Exclusions)

This warranty does not cover damages or failures resulting from:

  • Improper Installation: Incorrect wiring, improper mounting, or mismatching voltage/RPM.
  • Environmental Damage: Exposure to extreme weather, flooding, fire, or corrosive environments not specified for the product.
  • Electrical Issues: Power surges, phase loss, or lightning strikes.
  • Normal Wear and Tear: Gradual degradation of seals, bearings, or aesthetic finishes over time.
  • Maintenance Neglect: Failure to perform routine maintenance as required by the manufacturer.

5. How to Submit a Warranty Claim

If you believe your product is defective and covered under warranty, please follow these steps:

  1. Initial Contact: Email info@epscontrols.com with the subject line "Warranty Claim—[Your Order Number]."
  2. Technical Report: Provide a brief description of the failure and, if possible, a report from a licensed technician detailing the issue.
  3. Photos/Videos: Attach clear photos of the installed product, the wiring, and the manufacturer’s nameplate (label).
  4. RMA Issuance: Once reviewed, we will issue a Warranty Return Authorization (WRA) and provide the return shipping address.

6. Warranty Shipping Costs

  • Initial Shipping: The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the suspected defective item back to our facility or the manufacturer for inspection.
  • Return Shipping: If the item is confirmed to be defective under warranty, EPS Controls LLC or the manufacturer will cover the cost of shipping the repaired or replacement item back to you (within the USA only).

7. Resolution Process

Upon receipt and inspection:

  • If the defect is covered, we will (at our or the manufacturer's discretion) repair the item, provide a replacement, or issue a pro-rated credit.
  • If the defect is found to be caused by improper installation or an excluded factor, the claim will be denied, and the item can be returned to you at your expense.

8. Limitation of Liability

EPS Controls LLC is a distributor and not the manufacturer. Therefore, we are not liable for any consequential, incidental, or indirect damages (including labor costs for removal/reinstallation, loss of business, or refrigerant loss) arising from the use or failure of the product.

9. Policy Updates

EPS Controls LLC reserves the right to update this Warranty Policy to comply with changes in US trade laws or manufacturer requirements. Any updates are effective immediately upon posting.
